NW Atlanta Chapter October 20, 2016 – Chris Dahl & Martin Bozone will present “Lightroom & Photoshop – Workflow” 

This NW Chapter monthly meeting, at the Smyrna Community Center, will focus on workflow in Lightroom and Photoshop.

The Lightroom portion will be presented by Chris Dahl. He will show us the workflows he uses, while focusing on the Library and Develop modules. The discussions will include image filing practice, key wording, backups and his processing workflow. If there's time, he will also talk about the other five modules at a higher level.

The Photoshop portion will be presented by Martin Bozone, and he will show us the workflow he uses in Photoshop and Bridge. He will also discuss the things he always uses Photoshop for, when to use Photoshop instead of Lightroom, and tips on deciding what needs to be done to a photo. If you'd like one of your photos to be used in the presentation, please reach out to Martin through his Meetup profile.

Both Chris and Martin have been involved in photography for many years. Chris' parents gave him an old Kodak film camera when he was a young boy and followed that with a darkroom kit at Christmas one year. He worked as a photographer for the yearbooks at his high school, Six Flags and college. While in college he worked for studios in the Atlanta area and did freelance work for the AP. After college, he worked in two different commercial photo labs for 20 plus years, Meisel Photochrome and Meteor Photo and Imaging. Currently he is senior manager of Network Operations for CNN Airport Network.

Martin is a graphic artist by trade. Having been in the graphics field for 33 years, Martin has gained extensive Photoshop and Lightroom skills in that time. He is presently the art director for a corporation in Newnan. Among the highlights of his career are 16 design awards. Martin has been taking photos since he was a wee lad, and his photography has been a tool he used in his day job. In 2015, he decided to get serious about nature photography and became a member of GNPA. Martin has had the privilege of placing in four GNPA competitions, while taking first place and best of show in two of those contests. We hope you'll join us for this very informative presentation by two of our very knowledgeable members. We are sure you will learn some new tips and tricks to take home with you.
